Robert Fulford won the Association Croquet World Championship
Robert Fulford won the Association Croquet World Championship for the sixth time at Hurlingham beating Matthew Essick(USA) in a very close five game final. The same two players had contested last year’s Golf Croquet World Championship Final. This time Robert came out on top.
The fifth game was a nail biter and both players had good chances to win. Finally Robert hit a 10 yard shot and won with a three ball break.
Robert has been England’s top player since the early 90s and first won this event in 1990. His other previous victories were in 1992, 1994, 1997 and 2002.
