The Championship Croquet Set is a top quality full size croquet set for those wanting the best quality and or square mallet heads.
The Championship Croquet Set is a beautifully-crafted, durable set constructed of the highest quality materials. The Championship Croquet Set is supplied with two different sized mallets (Rosewood square heads with brass protection) to enable adults of differing heights to play with a suitably sized mallet.
The Championship Croquet Set is also supplied with exceptionally solid club style steel hoops with stability carrots and composite croquet balls as is consistent with the better croquet sets on the market, these composite croquet balls offer more durability than the traditional wooden croquet balls.
The Championship croquet set includes:
4 Solid Square head Rosewood mallets with brass protection and octagonal English Ash handles – approximately 3lbs each;
2 – 97cm (38”) Mallet with 24cm (9 1/2”) x 6cm (2 1/4”) Rosewood Head
2 – 87cm (34”) Mallet with 24cm (9 1/2”) x 6cm (2 1/4”) Rosewood Head
4 16oz composite balls 9cm (3 5/8”) in diameter
6 Steel professional hoops with carrot (16mm diameter) 51cm (20”) high, 10cm (4”) wide, dipped to 21cm (8”) to leave regulation 30cm (12”) above ground
1 Hoop Drill (to create the carrot holes for the club hoops)
1 Hoop “smasher” mallet with rubber head (important as the rubber protects the hoops)
4 Corner flags with metal poles
4 coloured clips included
1 Hardwood Centre peg with topper – 3cm (1 ½ ”) diameter, 56cm (22”) high

Very high quality and certainly looks like it’s built to last. Might need to get myself a carrot drill.

Some quality issues. Tape holding grip material on to mallets looks as if it will fall off after a small amount of use. Trolley cross pieces did not fit snugly and pre-drilled holes were not centred, so it was hard to assemble. Some holes not drilled deep enough. Croquet set has a peculiar smell. All minor issues. Mostly the set uses good quality materials and has a substantial feel.
